What’s your favourite travel story?
Flying Over the Mara
One travel memory that will always stay with me is flying over the Maasai Mara in Kenya in a hot air balloon. We were fortunate to visit during the migration, and watching the wildebeest and zebras move across the plains was breathtaking — totally worth the 4am start!
After we landed, we had breakfast right there in the Mara, which felt equally magical. Kenya is close to my heart — both my parents were born there — and that morning remains a reminder of how travel can be both deeply personal and exceptionally inspiring.
What is the one thing you don’t travel without?
I’ll admit it — I’m an over-packer! While my husband handles all the electronics, my must-haves are simple: trainers and my skincare bag.
Whether I’m visiting a city or heading to the beach, I love waking up early before the family stirs — getting my steps in while exploring somewhere new, checking out the hotel gym, or even sneaking in a Pilates class. And, of course, my skincare — because self-care never takes a holiday, especially with changing temperatures and long flights when travelling!
