What’s your favourite travel story?

Mount Bromo will always have a special place in my heart. We left in the middle of the night — half-asleep, wrapped in jackets, chasing the sunrise in a jeep. I’d grown up in Indonesia, but nothing prepared me for that view. As the first light broke over the volcano and the clouds shifted below us, we all fell silent.

It wasn’t loud or dramatic — just still, surreal, and quietly unforgettable.

That morning reminded me that the best travel moments aren’t always about ticking off a list — sometimes, they’re about feeling something you didn’t know you needed.
That’s the kind of magic I try to bring into every journey I plan — experiences that stay with you, long after you’re home.

What is the one thing you don’t travel without?

Travel local, always. There’s something special about connecting with a place beyond the surface — whether it’s sharing stories with a guide, wandering into neighborhoods you won’t find online, or hearing a piece of local history from someone who’s lived it. Those are the moments that stay with you — they turn a trip into a memory, and a destination into something that feels a little like home.
